This residual current monitor will detect DC residual currents in 50Hz/60Hz AC installations according to IEC62955
It's primarily intended for use in Electric Vehicle charging stations to disconnect the supply to the Electric Vehicle under a DC residual fault current condition.

The module can be directly connected to the SmartEVSE v3.
It will protect against DC (6mA) residual currents, and will signal to the SmartEVSE if a fault occurs.
The SmartEVSE will then immediately disconnect the contactor, display an error message on the screen, and wait for a user to reset the error.

When using this module, you don't need an expensive type B residual-current circuit breaker (RCB) in your mains distribution panel, but can use a normal type A.
